Astronomy on Tap returns to HK Brewing Co Taproom & Bar for another night of space, science, and drinks! After a short summer break, Astronomy on Tap returns on August 18th with new hosts Hayley and Simon, and a night inspired by questions from you!
This month’s theme is “What Goes Up Must Come Down!” We’ll hear two short talks drawing from questions submitted by our community:
🛰️ LINK-ing Up with Swift: Updates from a Telescope Rescue Missionwith Anne Duerr
🌎 Mitigating Climate Change Using Artifical Planetary Toriwith Ashley Meglino
Each approximately 10-minute talk will be followed by an open Q&A. Ask about the presentation, space junk, the future of the ISS, whether it’s going to fall out of the sky 😱 or whatever astronomy questions you’ve been holding onto. There are no dumb questions at AoT!
Come early to grab a seat and settle in before the talks begin at 7:15 PM. This event brings engaging, approachable science talks into a laid-back bar setting, no prior knowledge required.
Our full bar will be open all night with creative cocktails, standout zero-proof drinks, beer, cider, wine, and Han’s Kombucha brewed in-house.
Astronomy on Tap is free and open to the public (21+).
