Lights on for Families 5k and Fun Run
Join us for this family friendly event at Sugar House Park as we transform the night into a beacon of hope and a safety net for local families in need!
Get ready to light up Sugar House Park for a night of neon, energy, and community impact! We’re trading the daytime heat for a glowing night-time course to support the Family Support Center!
The Course: Choose Your Glow
Whether you're a sprinter, a walker, or a stroller, we have two ways to participate:
The Full Glow: Run the complete 5K-style experience by circling the park's inner loop twice.
The Quick Spark (ages 12 and up): Want to join the fun without the full distance? Complete one loop (~1.5 miles) and head straight to the finish line festivities!
Ages 12 and up: $35. Price increases to $40 June 20th.
Ages 5 - 11: $25. Price increases to $30 June 20th.
Ages 4 and under: FREE!
Event Highlights
✨Neon Zones: Run through "Glow Stations" featuring blacklights and high-energy music.
✨Glow Kit: Every participant gets a starter pack of glow-in-the-dark accessories (but we encourage you to go wild with your own neon gear!).
✨After-Party: Celebrate your finish with music and a community that cares.
Why We Run
This isn't just about the miles; it’s about the mission. Your registration and donations directly support families in need in your community. Please be advised of the following regarding race swag:
To ensure everyone gets their preferred size, our official shirt order must be placed in advance.
Registration before June 20th: Guaranteed a race shirt and swag.
Registration after June 20th: Shirts and swag are not guaranteed. Remaining inventory will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at packet pickup while supplies last.
Check-in opens at 7:00 pm. That’s when you can grab your swag, check out the park, and join in on the pre-race festivities! The race will begin around 9:00, or whenever the sun has set enough for you to fully enjoy the nighttime vibe.
